SCAM ALERT: “Fraudulent Activity On Your Account.” Please be aware of fraudsters that notify you of fraud on your account or an investigation into your bank. This could look like it is coming from an official source such as the FBI. To protect your money, they encourage you to withdraw funds from your bank and deposit it in a secure account that they’ve set up for you. Once you do this, your money is gone. Neither your financial institution nor law enforcement will ask you to withdraw money or perform any financial transaction to help in a fraud or internal investigation.
